Pill Counting:
Pill counting is usually a quick three-step process that takes only seconds as pills are virtually counted as fast as you can pour them. The counting feature is fast, safe, accurate and easy-to-use.

Verification:
The NDC verification features eliminates potential errors in prescription filling. It ensures that the correct prescription is counted and filled. The feature allows the user to compare two NDC codes and check for a match. The Rx label barcode can be compared to the stock bottle barcode.

No Cross-Contamination:
When counting with a TORBAL, the pills never come in contact with any mechanical parts of the unit. This eliminates both cross-contamination and the need to clean between counts.

Compounding:
The compounding features will add up the recipe ingredients and print a detailed receipt. It also includes Ingredient Labeling, Recipe Archiving, and a digital Filling Meter that assists the user in the filling process. The meter is a none-linear indicator that shows a very accurate cut-off point.

Because implementation issues that are involved with HL7 interface projects usually require custom development and extensive site analysis, medDISPENSE employs a team of analysts to serve as HL7 interface implementation specialists. 1. Our installations include two types of Customers:
a. Those needing new Inventory Management and Workflow software implementations with new carousels, or as a "software only" solution to be used with static shelving alone, and
b. Those that want new software to use on their existing carousel systems originally sold by other vendors (Talyst, ABC, Omnicell, and McKesson). For these types of "conversion" customers, previous vendor software is no longer used and monthly support fees are greatly reduced.
c. Both of these types of customers may need bar-coding solutions and we offer PharmoPack™ and PharmoCode™ systems.

2. We are considered to be an ideal enterprise-wide solution because our Pharmogistics® Inventory Management Software & Workflow Process Administrator can be installed in any sized hospital pharmacy with or without carousel technology.
a. ALL data from every networked hospital pharmacy can "roll up" to a Corporate View to enable the IDN Pharmacy Team to manage the entire Inventory, Productivity, and Assets, within the healthcare system more efficiently, drive out waste, and to Maximize Market Share Rebates.
b. Pharmacies may also be able to "package share" to eliminate expired medications and open packages that are slow moving items sitting on shelves as non-performing assets.

3. We also provide refrigerated carousels to add a higher level of security and accountability when managing the highest priced medications in the pharmacy. And, we enable paperless remote ordering from Satellites and departments with cost centering of every dose to its final destination.

4. Pharmogistics includes the MedRexStat Interface Engine that builds interfaces in minutes. All Hospital CIOs that have seen this Interface Engine in operation have provided their approval to work with PHACTS. The amount of hospital IT resources required to implement our system and interface to other vendors is substantially reduced.
