The 5008 Therapy Systems offers, for the first time, the highest treatment quality – ONLINE Hemodiafiltration – with convincingly easy handling and thoughtful use of the dialysis-relevant resources.

It is a highly integrated system, built for sustainable dialysis – today and tomorrow.

Nx Stage

NxStage System One™ — chronic therapy at home or on the road

The NxStage System One helps make daily and home therapy more accessible. It is the first truly portable hemodialysis system cleared for home use. The System One was designed from the ground up to provide the simplicity, flexibility and portability to make daily and home dialysis a Express Packagepractical reality, without compromising safety. It was designed to overcome the challenges of home and daily hemodialysis posed by traditional equipment.

Due to NxStage's continuous innovation, patients now have the chance to enjoy the health benefits of daily hemodialysis, either at home with our SL package or on the road with our Express package. The result is an entirely new level of personal freedom.

The System One Difference

  • Compact and portable. Allows for flexible therapy options either at home or on the road.
  • No special infrastructure requirements. No significant electrical, plumbing or water purification infrastructure changes are required. The System One plugs into any standard electrical outlet and drains without requiring plumbing changes.
  • Designed for ease of setup, training and use.
    • Drop in cartridge allows one-step loading and safety system engagement.
    • Simple compact water purification system for home use (SL package)
    • Prepackaged fluids for travel (Express package)
    • Simple intuitive controls for ease of use and training
  • Desgined for simple maintenance. Quick, wipe down disinfection makes maintenance easy and our service swap program helps prevent missed treatments.
  • Dedicated support. 24/7 clinical, technical and customer support.

SL means streamlined

The new PureFlow SL—the key component of our SL package, helps make home and daily dialysis with the System One even easier and more streamlined. Designed to overcome many of the limitations of traditional hemodialysis equipment, this compact, easy-to-use system prepares high-purity dialysate from ordinary tap water. PureFlow SL further enhances the simplicity and flexibility of the System One while maintaining the portability and freedom to travel that users have come to expect.

PureFlow SL Highlights

  • Simple, compact “all in one” design – about the size of an end-table, this compact unit eliminates the need for a large water purification system, as well as the need to receive, store, hang, and dispose of bagged dialysate fluids in the home.
  • No special plumbing or electrical modifications. Just a simple faucet or under-sink connection and standard electrical outlet helps avoid the often costly home modifications required by traditional systems.
  • Purity at home. Innovative technology prepares ultra-pure water and high purity dialysate that meets or exceeds industry purity standards.
  • Fast, easy batch preparation. In a few simple steps, PureFlow SL produces a batch of dialysate that is good for up to three daily treatments—all while the patient goes about their normal daily activities.
  • No complicated water testing. The integrated, replaceable water Purification Pack includes built-in purity sensors and lets you know when it's time to change it.
  • Reliable support. 24/7 clinical and technical support availability and 24-hour service swap program for all key system modules helps simplify use and maintenance and minimize missed treatments.
  • Increased treatment flexibility. Large batch capability increases the ability to treat larger patients and provides greater therapy flexibility.
  • Continued travel freedom. The ability to take the System One cycler off the top of the PureFlow SL unit and use bagged dialysate fluids (Express package) on the road maintains travel freedom.

Express means on the go

The Express package, which makes use of the portable System One, PureFlow Express prepackaged dialysate fluids, and related accessories, is designed to enable dialysis on the road. Using the system this way allows the patient to take advantage of the enhanced simplicity and flexibility of the System One with the PureFlow SL in the home, while having the continued freedom of the System One Express package on the road. NxStage Express™ travel accessories include a soft or hard-sided aluminum case and prepackaged PureFlow dialysate.

  • Compact, lightweight, and portable. The System One cycler can simply be lifted off the top of the PureFlow SL2 unit, so it’s easy to take on the road.
  • Flexibility and Freedom. Prepackaged dialysate fluids help keep dosing simple and provide flexibility as to when and where treatments can be done.
  • Convenience and Security. The availability of soft or hard-sided aluminum travel cases makes transporting your System One cycler easy. The soft case can be used for car or RV trips and the aluminum case can be used for air, train, bus or car travel.
